17U Coaches

Our 17U coaches are dedicated to the development of young athletes. Our practises focus on drills that facilitate a fun learning environment combined with progressively difficult skills that further athlete's abilities.

Head Coach: Larissa Byckalo-Puhach

This is his 5th year of coaching at MVC. Dan played volleyball in high school and was named MVP for his junior and senior teams multiple times. Along with coaching at the high school and club level, he maintains this website, produces recruitment videos, and evaluates the statistics for the team. 

Assistant Coach: Dan Byckalo

Coached Middle School and High School Boys and Girls Volleyball for several years, 3 Hamilton City Titles and 3 OFSSA appearances with Westdale. Played High School, Varsity (Western) and Hamilton Express Men's A & AA -  Men's Canadian All-Star 1992, Eastern Canadian Champions 1993, OFSSA "A" Volleyball & Basketball Gold Medal 1984. This is his 1st year coaching with MVC.

Assistant Coach: Doug McKerlie

Played for the McMaster University Women's Volleyball team as a middle blocker from 2012-2017. More coming soon!
